ICE ROAD NOTICE: Update to the Community

Attention Community Members:

Temagami First Nation Infrastructure Department wishes to advise the community of Bear Island that

we have barricaded and closed the ice road between Dean’s beach and the intersection of the road

from Arnold’s beach due to a significantly deep slush hole.

Please use the road to Arnold’s Beach to make your way on and off Bear Island.

Although the ice road is still safe for vehicle travel; as the snow continues to fall and temperatures

increase, the slush will continue to impede our maneuverability and the condition of the ice road.

We will continue to monitor conditions and inform the public of any concerning or significant changes.
